IMDB joy

I've watched a lot of movies in the last 6 days -- if I'm over 100.8 I can't do anything but sleep; between 99.6 and 100.6, say, I can watch television; this is the first time that I've been ill enough to be useless AND had Turner Classic Movies, AMC, and all the regular movies of non-premium cable. Having wireless means that I can sit here watching movie after movie and learn the answers to all my trivial questions by looking the celluloid up on the Internet Movie Data Base -- you know all those "is that the same person who was in . . . ?" questions. IMDB can answer them all.

Be careful with that. We have a bad habit now of always being online when we watch TV.

Watching BBC stuff is the worst. They use the same actors over and over, so we're constantly at IMDB looking people up.

I have a standard way I can tell if I'm ill, and am I sick enough for medical care.

If I can read and forget the aches and sniffles, I'm OK, just need some time for body to heal.

If I can't stay focused on the page or the words have lost their meaning, I'm running a real fever.

If I can't keep reading because the pain interferes, it's time to do something about it.

How's that for pseudo-scientific?

.....Works for me - and is pretty much what I do. I'll add in "If I sleep in the daytime, I'm running a real fever." I've never been much of a napper. --MCT
